Terms of Service

Welcome to the Terms of Service. If Mott accepts your account registration, you will become a "User" with access to the app and services under the terms below. This Agreement applies to all users who access or use the Mott platform. The application is licensed, not sold, to you. Information you provide is governed by our Privacy Policy.

What is Mott?

Mott provides a platform that allows users to locate an independent advisor, ask questions, and request services directly from that advisor. Mott enables users to communicate with advisors and pay for services through the app.

Mott does not itself provide professional advice and does not guarantee the accuracy, outcome, identity, credentials, or qualifications represented by any user or advisor, except to the extent expressly stated in the app.

Users acknowledge that advisors are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Mott.

Mott does not control or guarantee the quality, relevance, or accuracy of information provided by an advisor.

The advice or information provided by attorneys, doctors, and other Advisors in fields requiring licensure and/or certification is provided for informational purposes only and cannot be considered a substitute for an in-person meeting or a face-to-face physical examination. Users should not rely on or make health, legal, financial, or other decisions based on advice provided by any Advisor.

Acceptable Use

By accessing and/or using the APP and Services, you represent, warrant, and agree to the following:

• Eligibility: You are at least 18 years of age and are otherwise capable of forming legally binding contracts under applicable law. If you are under the age of 18, you may not use or register for the APP and Services or provide any personal information to us.
• Accurate Information: The information you submit in your registration form is true, accurate, and complete, and you will maintain and update this information during the term of this Agreement.
• System Integrity: You will not undermine, disrupt, or manipulate the integrity of the user feedback rating system on the APP and Services.
• No Interference: You will not interfere with or disrupt any Mott servers, networks, or equipment in connection with the app and services.
• Authorized Access: You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any computer system or network connected to the APP and Services.
• Prohibited Content: You will not transmit, upload, email, post, or otherwise make available through the APP and Services any unlawful, harassing, libelous, abusive, threatening, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, racist, harmful, or otherwise objectionable material.
• Legal Compliance: You will adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing your actions in connection with the Site and for the provision of Services.
• File Security: When opening file attachments transferred between Users and Advisors, it is your responsibility to scan the files with an anti-virus software application.
• No Impersonation: You will not impersonate any person or entity or make any false statement regarding your employment or affiliation with any person or entity.
• Respectful Conduct: You will not stalk, threaten, or harass any Advisor or User or infringe on or attempt to infringe on their privacy.

Modification and Termination of Services

Mott may modify or discontinue any part of the app and services, with notice where required by applicable law. Mott may suspend or terminate access when a user violates these terms, applicable law, or platform safety requirements.

Fees and Payments

Paid interactions are billed through the app using coins. Pricing is displayed before you begin a paid session, and you agree to pay the applicable amount for services you request.

Payment Methods

Coin purchases are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. The price, currency, taxes, and available payment methods are shown by Apple before you confirm a purchase.

Coins and Refunds

You may purchase coins for your account balance. Refund requests for App Store purchases are reviewed and processed by Apple under Apple's applicable refund policies. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. This does not limit any non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law.

Billing Process

Session charges are calculated using the rate and billing unit shown in the app. Your available coin balance and completed transactions can be reviewed in your account.

Privacy

Log-in Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, username, and any other security information related to your account. You are solely responsible for all use made of the APP and Services under your password and User account and agree to pay for all Services purchased using your password and User account information.

Privacy Policy

By accessing or using the app and services, you acknowledge the Mott Privacy Policy.

Permitted Disclosures

Mott may disclose user information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, respond to an emergency, protect users or others, enforce these terms, or operate the service through contracted service providers, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without reference to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory laws in your place of residence provide otherwise. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the concern informally. Unless applicable law gives you another right, disputes will be submitted to the courts of Hong Kong.
